Admissions Process & Timeline

Step 1: Tour The School

All families are required to attend a tour of the school as part of our enrollment process. Tours are offered beginning in November to December for the following school year. During your tour, you will have the opportunity to see our program(s) in action, speak with parents in our community, and interact with our Executive Director and/or teachers. Families will have ample time to view our facilities, including both indoor and outdoor spaces. Tours are an opportunity to ask any and all questions, so please don’t hesitate to ask about any item that will help you gauge if we are the right fit for your family.  

Please note- our tours for our Preschool Program are closed for the 26-27 school year. If you have a child who will be 4 years old by September 2nd, 2026 and are interested in our Young 5 (TK) Program, please inquire about a tour.

Step 2: Fill out an application

(This will be sent to you after your tour)

Step 3: Submit the $50 application fee

Step 4: Attend a Meet & Greet with our Executive Director


Additional Notes:

Playmates enrolls new children in August only. Children are required to be 2 years old by their first day of school.

Playmates follows the SFUSD calendar but also hosts an annual Summer Camp program with a separate admissions process. If interested, please inquire about Summer Camp at your tour or Meet & Greet.
